Or...I'm Leavin' on a jet plane. Don't know when I'll be back again. Yes, I'm leaving. Whew. I am Audie 5000. Adios Amigo's. Ciao. Aloha. Buh Bye! Ah Biento. Later baby! Asta La Pasta! I have secrets and this is one of my favorites. I share it with you because I am either brave or crazy or maybe a little of both.
I'm packing as we speak! We have two tickets to paradise and off we go into the wild blue yonder!
You get my drift. To date, it has been three years since my husband, Scott and I have taken a vacation. I am about to experience boredom. What is that you say? I'm not quite sure. We will have NO TV, NO PHONES, NO COMPUTERS and NO COMMUNICATION with the outside world.
We will have sand, surf, palm trees, guacamole, exotic birds, sunshine and each other. In fact, we are going with another couple so we will also have, Scrabble, Uno, Cash Flow (teaches investments) by Robert Kiyosoki, books and a little time. Oh yeah, I'll have my MP3 player I got for Christmas!
We are flying into Puerto Villiarta and staying in the Southern most "original" city called the Romantic Zone. This is for the first night. The next day we leave for La Manzanilla, a small fishing village off of Costa Allegra (Happy Coast). This is where we will play for 7 nights and 8 glorious days, then back to Puerto Villiarta for two more nights. It's a beautiful tiny village on the coast of the Pacific that embraces the charm of original Mexico.
Pictures speak a thousand words so enjoy a few with me! I will take more for the vacation report afterwards. We have traveled there a few years before and we can't wait to get there again!

This is our palapa and our view on the non-Pacific side. Awesome, huh? Our rooftop has table and chairs, rainproof covering and two adult hammocks. This is Heaven on earth.
We get a full view of the sunset off to the left of our casita. Many fishing boats are making their way back into the bay after a full day of fishing. For a mere fee the locals will take you out on their boats for a tour of the bay. Dolphins, whales, Pelican and Egrets are a common view. The locals will also take you for a surf and sun horseback ride. I can be bored here. I know I'm not going to want to come home.

Above, the sunset from our room.
Below is the view from the restaurant called Martin's. We have about a three minute walk to his tables. Martine is a chef of all chef's. He takes the fresh seafood and turns his dishes into delectible servings of art. His after dinner coffees turn into a show of talent while he mixes, strains and whips at the table. A two hour meal here is a short one!

The average daily temperature is a high of 78 degrees and a low of 58 during the winter. No A/C units are needed as the building is built so "green" that it remains a constant 72 degrees. It's wonderful. Right out the back door is an avacado tree off which ripe avacados can be picked and prepared in our kitchen within minutes.

This was our sunset (untouched) in La Manzania in February of 2005. Five minutes before I shot this we experienced an earthquake rated 5.2 on the rictor scale.
Our earth shook but God prevailed. This photo certainly shows it with impact!
Below are shots of the coast at Tenacatita only 15 minutes away from La Manzania.
A quick taxi ride will carry you to an even more remote part of the earth. One of which I had only dreamed of.

I saw Lobsters walking along the edge of the water! There are fish so large you can't believe your eyes staring right back at you!
We found outdoor restaurants along the water that served the fresh Lobsters and fish, Margaritas and sunshine for pennies! Of course, we were sharing our shore side tables with the occasional chicken or rooster that would wonder through. It all added to the charm. There were probably no more than 200 people total on the entire point of Tenacatita!
It's a small peninsula that juts into the massive openess of the Pacific Ocean and makes you feel as if you're alone in Paradise! In fact, I will be. Almost alone. But, definately in Paradise.

See, I really was there. And, within 48 hours now I will be on a plane headed there again. Wow, life is good.
I'm going to miss all my AR friends and the sound of the keys of my computer but alas I must submit. As I've told my clients lately they will like me a lot better after I've had a vacation! They all agreed.
Just yesterday I received a call from an Active Rain Realtor search from a lady out of Pennsylvania wanting me to list four of her lots here at the Lake! She gave me her full blessings and will still list with me when I get back. You just can't beat that with a stick. Business coming in from the place I love to be! Active Rain.
